Occupation: Images From Iraq

In the years that the United States has been involved in Iraq, there have been countless pictures and videos on the news, but even after all the exposure there is still something powerful about finding oneself in a room surrounded by 59 pictures taken by a Marine during his service in Iraq.

Salsa for the Masses

On Friday, August 24, from 9 pm to 2 am, the African, Latin, Asian and Native American Cultural Center (ALANA) opened the year with a high-energy night of salsa dance lessons, followed by a general dance party. Organized by the new Director of the ALANA Cultural Center, Thomas Cruz-Soto, the night marked his first four weeks on the job.

Carrying on a Legacy

Last Saturday, August 25th, residents of Hamilton and Colgate students joined together on the Village Green to celebrate the life of Craig Getchonis. A Hamilton native, Getchonis tragically took his own life in 2005 at the age of 39. However, residents celebrated his life at the Skyway Festival, a concert dedicated to Getchonis and his undying love for music.
