Last week saw the intramural basketball season come into full bloom, with over a dozen games taking place in Huntington Gym.
America Yeah and Sigma Chi A continued their early dominance of League A by extending their records to 2-0 after victories last Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. America Yeah won by forfeit over Phi Kappa Tau while Sigma Chi A handedly defeated Beta Theta Pi (Beta) A.
Delta Kappa Epsilon (DKE) pulled off the first upset in League A play this season with a gritty and hard-fought 48-46 victory over Staff Infection, improving its record to 1-1 and putting Staff Infection in an early season fourth-place tie with Beta A at 0-1.
After topping League B after the first few days of play, Theta Chi fell to the Brothers on Wednesday, November 10, propelling the Brothers to an early first-place tie with Sigma Chi B at 1-0.
Theta Chi sits in the middle of the League B pack at 1-1 after its loss, while idle Jewce is Loose and the Running Suckers sit just above an 0-2 Phi Delta Theta (Phi Delt) squad, in a fourth-place tie in the league.
The Great Colgate Ballers are the headliners of League C at this point in the season after a 34-31 last-second defeat of the Butter Nuts last Tuesday. The squad sits at 2-0, with a half-game lead over the Yo Mets, a team that won its first game of the season over the Squadron of Doom.
Beta B pulled off a close victory over Curtis to the tune of a 48-46, putting each team at 1-1 in the league. The Butter Nuts (0-1) and the Squadron of Doom (0-2) sit in the league cellar after two weeks of play.
The early season favorites in League D, the KSA, continued its success with a blowout victory over Andy Levin on November 11. KSA sits at 2-0, with a half-game lead over a 1-0 Jason & The Johnsons squad that remained idle last week.
Sigma Chi C avenged an early season forfeit by holding off a 34-6 second-half run by the Regulators to move to 1-1 on the season in the league. Main Moon, which still has not played a game, and the winless Regulators round out League D.
