Giants Get the Ball Rollein'

3/13/10 7:36 PM

Ok so midterms took their toll and I wasn't able to blog about this despite being completely overwhelmed by this. The Giants's first big move of the off-season came through the signing of Antrel Rolle, safety, from the Arizona Cardinals. The Giants just single-handedly tripled the effectiveness of their secondary for next season in  matter of minutes. Rolle initially came into the league as a corner from none other than "The U" and was converted into a safety. The Giants will have Rolle and Kenny "KP" Phillips as the two safeties next year. The tandem which has experience working together from their days in Miami will reinvigorate what I believed was the Giants's biggest hole last year, the defensive secondary. With the release of MLB Antonio Pierce I'm feeling...

T-Mac to NYC, Wayne and LeBron to Follow?

2/18/10 4:38 PM

Well, as predicted, they did it... So now it all makes sense I guess. We draft Jordan Hill with the 8th overall pick only...to trade him to the Rockets. Perfect. Aside from that genius pick, the Knicks rid themselves a decent guard in Larry Hughes and in my opinion the second best player on their roster this season, Jared Jeffries. The Knicks are really putting all of their eggs in one basket by trying to free up cap space. By ridding themselves of Jeffries and Hill they don't have to pay Hill's $2.8 million this season or Jeffries $6.8 million next season. After destroying our team and throwing a first round draft pick in the mix, the Knicks have poised themselves to win the free agency lottery in 2010.  The Knicks have enough room to sign both LeBron AND Dwayne Wade or Wade...

The Great Leap Forward Part II

2/10/10 12:22 PM

After enduring what has been more than an eternity worth of bad trades, enormous egos and general dismay the Knicks have finally given me a glimmer of light of the future. After Gallo's sub-par rookie year riddled with injury I thought the Knicks were just doomed to suck forever. However, he's shown tremendous growth this year for one of the best Knick teams in recent memory (sad right?). He couples with D-Lee aka Mr.Double-Double to create an unselfish and gritty starting five for the Knicks. Cancers such as Stephon Marbury, Steve Francis, Zach Randolph and Eddy Curry have been taken out of the equation either by trade or by D'Antoni's decision making. The Knicks can still contend for a possible play-off spot and it provides motivation for the season to come when the newly crowned king of...

CPR

1/26/10 6:42 PM

Hurry, someone please call the paramedics we've got someone choking! It's the man over there in the wheel chair playing shuffleboard, eating apple sauce and putting in his dentures. He's wearing a flaboyant purple and yellow shirt in muddy Wrangler jeans. Wait...actually don't call anyone I opt to just let the man die. This poor 40 year-old has seen more than enough in his day and its better that he goes out this way rather than through decapitation on the football field. Brett Favre, I hate you. You were supposed to be the "All-American" guy who embodied hard-work, grit, toughness and loyalty and what are you now? Nothing but a spectre of your former self. You cried, whined and did everything but sell your soul to the devil in order win another ring. So when you threw the pick... 0 comment

Crying Gator Tears

12/6/09 2:18 AM

Before this collegiate football season started, it was pretty much understood that Florida would be in the national championship. We were all concerned with who Florida would play be it Texas, VT, OSU, etc. but after The Tide rolled the Gators tonight the landscape of college football drastically changed. Here's what we can take away from the Tide's drubbing of the Gators: 1. Tim Tebow is not Jesus, Superman or Chuck Norris, in fact after tonight's loss he might as well start considering going back to giving circumcisions in the Philippines because you just caught a glimpse of the same Tim Tebow what he would look like on a Sunday afternoon. 2. Mark Ingram sprinted, juked and stiff-armed his way enroute to four touchdowns and a Heisman trophy. 3. Carlos Dunlap probably took a...
