"I'm your run-of-the-mill Sagittarius," Anna Keegan said during an email correspondence. "I love travel, adventures and philosophical ponderings about life and purpose."

Well, those qualities may make Keegan a "run-of-the-mill" Sagittarius, but they also produce an exceptional human being. Keegan is currently completing a double major in SOAN and Africana Studies here at Colgate. Beyond academics, she is active in her sorority Delta Delta Delta and sits on the Newman Community Board, which plans initiatives for this Catholic organization, as well as participating in Konosioni.

Keegan is also involved in some extra extracurricular activities.

"I'll admit it," Keegan said, "I'm a pretty huge music snob. If Colgate was located in a bigger city, the majority of my free time and money would be spent on concerts, no doubt about it."

And there's more: Keegan is a self-proclaimed television addict as well.

"Though I like to save my reputation by telling everyone my favorite show is Arrested Development - which it definitely is," Keegan said. "In all honesty, I watch and enjoy a lot of crap TV."

The soap opera Dallas makes the top of her list along with Rock of Love II. However, she scoffed at the idea of picking teams for March Madness.

Hey, at least she's funny. When asked about her hobbies, Keegan said she liked to eat and nap. At her home in Littleton, Colorado, she also plays cards with her family and goes to the casinos.

"I come from a western background of farmers and cowboys," Keegan said. "It's just what we do. My parents will probably kill me for saying that."

Her parents should be proud. After graduation, Keegan is hoping to return to Albania, where she spent her last summer, to participate in another project. True to Sagittarius form, she's also hoping to plan what she called "a South-American backpacking adventure of sorts."

At Colgate, Keegan said her proudest accomplishment has been staying true to her passions. The nicest compliment she ever received in college: "You've taken what you like about Colgate and made it your own and shared that with the people around you."

And the weirdest text message Keegan has ever received? It came from a friend last Christmas: "Did we go to Komodo?" (As it turns out, they did.)
